Citizen Advisory Boards continue to play a key role in the ongoing management of human services within Forest and Warren counties. Each major program (MH/MR/ATOD and CYS) has its own advisory board which complies with categorical program issues regarding program management, policy development, budgets and expenditures, planning, evaluation, and quality enhancement.

Each Advisory Board Chairperson or designee participates on the Human Services Commission, which also includes other "at large" members and representatives of other community agencies such as the Area Agency on Aging and Warren State Hospital. This Commission has the opportunity to consider program initiatives from a community perspective before recommendations are received by the County Commissioners.

Advisory Board members are appointed by the County Commissioners.
