Upon acceptance of your civil service application and successful completion of the appropriate test or work history analysis, your name will be placed on a civil service list for that position, by the county(ies) you selected. Interviews are then scheduled for individuals on the Civil Service list when job openings occur.

Due to the nature of the work done by employees of Forest Warren Human Services, successful job applicants must also submit the following forms. These forms must be successfully processed before the successful applicant can begin working. Complete each form, then send in as directed with a $10.00 money order for each form. The original paperwork will then be returned to the applicant who must present it to the Human Resources Department.

COUNTY CASEWORKER 1 OR 2


THE JOB:  Full-time – 37-1/2 hours per week + Benefits

County Caseworker 1 – Grade 14 – $ 22,913
County Caseworker 2 - Grade 16 - $24,473

Positions provide services to Children & Youth, Mental Health, and Mental Retardation  consumers, parents, families and children to help them attain a more satisfactory social, economic, mental or physical environment in the following areas: service coordination, permanency planning, family preservation and the intensive units.

QUALIFICATIONS:

County Caseworker 1: A bachelor’s degree which includes or is supplemented by successful completion of 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR two years experience as a County Social Services Aide 3 and two years of college-level coursework which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training which includes 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of experience as a County Social Services Aide 3.

County Caseworker 2: Six months as a County Caseworker 1; OR successful completion of the County Social Casework Intern Program; OR a bachelor’s degree with a social welfare or social work major; OR a bachelor’s degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency; OR any equivalent combination of experience and training.
