Responsibilities

The Planning and Zoning department is responsible for:

  • Preparation of the County Comprehensive Plan
  • Administration of the Warren County Zoning Ordinance in 12 of the county’s 27 municipalities
  • Administration of the Warren County Subdivision and Land Development Ordinance
  • Administration of the federally funded Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) and HOME Programs for eligible housing and community improvement projects
  • Warren County’s 12-year Transportation Plan
  • Review of proposed zoning amendments, subdivision, and land development plans
