Adoption services are designed to provide a safe and permanent home for children whose natural parents are unable or unwilling to fulfill this responsibility. Adoption searches are also conducted for adults 18 years or older who were adopted through Warren County, in locating their birth families. Services performed by a caseworker are designed to culminate in legal adoption of a child, including adoptive home recruitment, study of adoptive parent applicants, placement and supervision of the child in the adoptive home, preparation and presentation of material for the adoption hearing and ensuring adoption assistance, when needed. In addition, the worker maintains the agency’s list of all children freed for adoption on the Pennsylvania Adoption Exchange and redacts and enters all required information in the PAIR system. (this list is not all-inclusive, it is an example of some of the services performed by the position)
